From Oregon to Missouri: One Less Estate Problem to Solve
After his brother passed away, a man from Oregon was responsible for closing his brother's estate in Lemay, Missouri.
With limited time in St. Louis, one of the things he needed to resolve was a very nice firearm collection.
We exchanged emails and text messages for several weeks before his trip, discussing the collection and what would be needed when he arrived. Because he was handling everything from out of state, knowing who he would be working with before getting on the plane was important.
Finding Someone He Could Trust
He found MDRF Enterprises online, and our Google reviews played an important role in his decision to contact us.

The collection included a Smith & Wesson Model 17-4, Smith & Wesson Model 29-2, SIG Sauer P210, Wilson Combat 1911, Ruger Mark III, Kimber 84M, Remington 1100 and Taurus 63.
These weren't simply firearms that needed to be removed from a house. Several were desirable, higher-quality firearms that needed to be properly identified and evaluated before an offer could be made.
One Appointment. One Offer. One Less Problem.
When we finally met in Lemay, his biggest concern wasn't becoming an expert on his brother's firearms.
He needed a licensed firearms dealer he trusted who could evaluate the entire collection, make him an offer, properly document the transaction and take care of all of the firearms at one time.
After weeks of coordinating the estate from Oregon, he told us what a relief it was to have this part of the process resolved in a single step.
That's exactly what we want an MDRF Local Story to demonstrate.
For families and executors handling a St. Louis estate from another state, the firearm collection doesn't have to become another project requiring multiple appointments, buyers or trips.
MDRF Enterprises helps families identify, evaluate and legally transfer estate firearm collections throughout the St. Louis area, even when the person responsible for the estate lives hundreds of miles away.
Follow-Up: One More Box in the Garage
The story didn't end with the firearms. While continuing to clear his brother's property, the family discovered a storage tub beneath a garage workbench containing knives from Benchmade, Buck, Böker, and other makers.
