Widow Downsizing Before a Move

A year and a half after her husband passed away, a Crestwood woman was preparing for another major change.

She was selling the home they had shared during their marriage and moving in with her sister. Like many people preparing for a move, that meant deciding what to keep, what had sentimental value, and what she simply no longer needed to take with her.

One of those decisions involved her late husband's firearm collection, this wasn't a case of wanting everything gone.

She and her husband had hunted together, and over the years he had given her a number of firearms as gifts. Those were meaningful to her, and she chose to keep them.

The remaining firearms were different. With the house being sold and a move ahead, she decided it was time to simplify the collection and let go of the guns she no longer wanted to maintain or move.

The group included Swiss K11 and K31 rifles, a Tula M38, a Marlin 336W, a Smith & Wesson Model 13-3, and several other firearms accumulated over the years.

There was no need to sell everything; the goal was simply to help her separate the firearms she wanted to keep from those that had become one more responsibility during an already significant transition.
