Resolving a Closet Safe Discovery of Hunting Rifles and Ruger Carbines
A recent collaboration with Saint Louis Estate Buyers led us to an unassuming home in Florissant, Missouri, where a family was managing the estate of an uncle who had been an avid hunter. Tucked away in a closet safe, they discovered a significant collection of ten rifles and a Ruger .44 Magnum Redhawk.
Despite the quality of the collection, none of the surviving relatives had an interest in keeping the firearms. Like many families we work with, they wanted the process handled legally, safely, and with respect for their uncle’s legacy.
The Collection Highlights
The inventory represented a lifetime of hunting seasons and featured several highly sought-after platforms:
Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine: A classic semi-automatic brush gun.
Marlin Lever Actions: A suite of rifles in .410, .22LR, and .357 Magnum.
Remington 700: A staple bolt-action rifle in excellent condition.
Plus several other well-kept hunting rifles
The Professional Outcome
While the family valued their uncle’s legacy, they required a legal and efficient way to liquidate the firearms. MDRF Enterprises provided an on-site professional appraisal and secure removal. By choosing a licensed FFL for a confidential purchase, the Florissant family avoided the risks of public listings and ensured the firearms were documented and transferred with total legal precision.
